12th February 2009

Well I was back at Alder Hey on the Monday 19th January for my 3 month check up and everything came back clear!!!!!

As you know I started nursery or as I like to call it "my big school" and I’m still very much enjoying it, I do more or less the same thing everyday, I draw, paint and play in the water not to mention play outside, I have made lots of friends, my two best friends are Amber and Holly, My school have really looked after me and have helped mummy and daddy keep me on my diet by allowing them to send in all my organic foods and goats milk. I have now started speech therapy, I have to pull funny faces while looking in the mirror and I have to make certain silly noises, I mostly like going because I get to blow bubbles at the end and get a sticker :-D

It was my auntie Taylah's birthday on the 15th September so a late happy birthday,
It was my auntie Heathers birthday on 3rd October so a late happy birthday to her too

I also had a 3 month check up in October, which thankfully came back clear, which of I knew it would, it was nice to go back and see all my old nurses and doctors, but I also seen some new boys and girls which is always sad.
We also learnt that a little girl had relapsed, Katy, who we had met when I was first diagnosed, her mummy sue was very helpful and gave my mummy and daddy some great advice and what to expect on treatment, I also met Katy's daddy when he came in with farther Christmas. Katy looked great and we played together with some of the toys before I went home.

November seen me celebrate my 4th birthday, I had a lovely birthday party, just a small one with friends and family. I got loads of lovely cards and presents sent from all over the world.

It was also my Cousin Mike's 2nd birthday on 15th December so a late happy birthday to him.

Well just before Christmas I got ill, well it wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't. The last two years I have been ill so I thought why break the habit of a life time. I had a sore ear and kept screaming out in pain, I went off my food, had a high temp and of cause the cough I have had for a very long time was back worse than ever. Mummy and daddy took me to Ormskirk hospital they gave me the once over but due to my past medical condition they wanted to give me an x-ray and do my bloods, we had a lovely 6 hour wait, am so glad I can speak for myself now, I told the doctor I didn't want to stay in and I wanted to go home, and without any arguments she agreed, but we had to be back for 12pm for the doctors walk around, however just before we were due to leave the nurse phoned my daddy and asked for me to go right to Alder Hey hospital and not Ormskirk. Well mummy and daddy were quiet the whole way down there, I don't know what they thought was wrong with me but we were worried. I was fine, I had my painkillers, so with them I was back to my normal cheeky self. There had been a bit of a mix up to say the least and we really didn't need to go to Alder Hey, but while I was there the nice doctors on the oncology ward gave me yet another once over and sent me on my way.

I was starting to feel better in time for Christmas. Father Christmas must have thought I had been a good girl this year because I got so many toys, it took me all morning to open them. I got lovely cards from all over the world and I also got loads of gifts, which is all thanks to post pals.
I had a lovely Christmas meal at my Nana Ang's and then spent Christmas night with my Nana Dee, it’s so hard being so popular.
A few days after Christmas I developed a rash, not a normal one either, so mummy and daddy again took me to Alder Hey, they gave me the once over, but this time they said I had had an allergic reaction to something but didn’t know what so I was sent on my way.

My cough still wasn't better so I went the doctors with my mummy and daddy, the doctor gave me the brown inhaler to help and told me I needed to go to asthma clinic after I had used my inhaler for 2 weeks. Well, I started to use my new inhaler and my cough went, like magic! I have not had a coughing fit for over 3 weeks and I can finally sleep at night. I went to asthma clinic and I had all the classics signs of asthma and they are happy to keep my on the brown inhaler, so since my cough has been sorted I am fighting fit and have so much energy once again.

My mummy had a PJ party at New Year, which was really good, mummy had all her friends and I had all mine. I got up and showed off, I made my own little dance floor and mummy got a great video of me pretending to DJ. We had a great new year.

I was back at Alder Hey on Monday 19th January for my 3 month check up, they seem to come around faster and faster. We seen my doctor well mummy and daddy did I went straight for the toys. While I was waiting, we seen Max with his mummy and daddy, we were both on treatment at the same time, we had fun crashing into each other with the push along cars, we also seen Katy and her daddy, Katy is looking fab and is hoping to progress to surgery.

It was my Nana Dee's birthday also on the 19th, so a late happy birthday Nanny.

It was Mummy's Birthday on 27th
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY

How many birthdays are there? Don’t they all seem to come at once and either right before Christmas or right after.

What can I say, I have been making the most of having a normal life. school, watching DVD's in bed, playing on my DS, playing in the mud, playing silly tricks on my mummy and daddy, and most of all making lots of friends. I love life and am still hyperactive and keep my mummy on her toes. I run everywhere, my legs still get sore from time to time but I don't let that stop me.

I have also started helping my mummy cook (showing her how it’s really done), I get that from Nana Dee.

Well, I promise not to leave it so long before I reply next time, I know I still have a lot of people that come on my website to see how I am, Thank you sooooooooooo much.

Love Emma x x
